We've sold $110 to date for South East Pug Rescue. THANK YOU!!!! We're gearing up for a long weekend and lots of art time.. possibly a pug transport thrown in the middle to move a pug to its new foster home. Mom's in the studio now working on a composite painting that will show why we do what we do in helping the pugs. I'll post pics once she lets me. I'm getting ready to make some jewelry. I hope everyone had a great weekend!
I'm feeling bad after seeing how busy mom has been making scarfs and purses for Pugfest. Please forgive my picture taking skills. I'll try to take some better pics this weekend and reload.
Well, this week was full of good and crazy. Mom's medical appointment went very well. My 9-5 work has been a bit crazy. We worked at the Rita Smith Gallery on Saturday and had fun meeting the people that came by. One gentleman was even pre-Christmas scouting for gifts... not a bad idea actually considering it's almost October already! It's been a bit slow for me this week as far as making art, but mom's been working away and has finished up several knitted purses, crochet scarves, etc., for Pugfest... hopefully will have pictures to share soon on FB and the Pugfest 2011 page. I'm getting ready to let Christmas music play in the background as I start working on some jewelry. Hope you have a great weekend and a great week. Oh, and about forgot..... YEA!!! my Clemson Tigers won! - Yolanda
I just wanted to thank those who have viewed the website and provided comments and noted things that needed to be fixed. THANK YOU!!!
What could be better than making art on a day like today you ask? My Clemson Tigers beating Auburn! Happy Dance! Seriously though, I hope you enjoy the new page that I added to show some of the items that we will have available at Pugfest this year. I'm working on jewelry items today and mom's painting away in the studio. SEPRA just took in 3 more hoarding/cruelty case pugs. This makes 7 pugs within the last month that are going to require a lot of medical attention. They've taken in other pugs as well, so financial needs are great at this time. If you would like information on their activities, go to their Facebook page: SepraPugs or their website: www.rescuepug.com. It's hard for me to see these babies and not try to help, so please forgive me if I go on about them. Have a great Saturday!
We had to do a little shopping therapy tonight at Hobby Lobby. We picked up some things to get our display ready for the Pugfest Cafe Press site. I love it when the clearance area has neat stuff....
Well, having recently installed wireless access, I find myself on this computer more than I should be. Thank you to all who have given feedback on the new site and Facebook page. Now, to get off the web and back to creating... Good night!
We would like to send our prayers to the family and friends of the 9/11 victims. It's one of those points in time that we will always remember where we were when it happened.
I've been working to get our new website up and make it as informative as possible. I want to give a shout out to Weebly for having a great service that's easy to use, and, in my opinion, looks more professional than others that I have tried. Mom's painting away in the studio now that her seminary class is completed. We're gearing up for Pugfest and hope to have lots of different things available. Hope you're having a great Saturday!
It's been an interesting couple of years for us. After last years medical issues including cancer, we had planned to minimize our show events for Skyward Creations this year and limit our other activity involvement in groups, etc. Our thoughts were to regroup and recover this year. We are in the process of doing that; however, we have again faced a few medical issues this year that were not anticipated, including the ugly C word again - thankfully minor this time. In thinking about this holiday season, our current plans are to continue showing our work at the Rita Smith Gallery in Richland Mall and to be part of the TAG Holiday Market (provided it takes place this year). God has blessed us and we continue to pray for His guidance for this endeavor. God Bless... Yolanda
